When I'm not studying I enjoy traveling with my better half Ashton and our two pups Maizy and Marley. But most of my free time is spent studying different approaches to exploiting networks and applications. In addition to Penetration Testing, I also spend quite a bit of my time assisting others with Open-Source SIEM solutions. I try to be as active as I can in the Graylog Community, and help out where I can when it comes to configuring ElasticSearch. Being able to extract information and come to conclusions from log data can be quite rewarding, especially in understanding how malicious actors approach exploiting different networks. I've also recently began taking on more advanced malware analysis in hopes of understanding and mitigating successful exploitation.

I have a wide range of experience in the security industry, ranging from designing low-voltage systems (access control, video surveillance, etc...) to debugging malware and exploitation. I've had the opportunity to work in both local government as well as a the private sector, and have first hand experience seeing the pain points in both sectors.
